What I Used For My Wedding Makeup Look

Updated: May 23, 2022

On my wedding day I did my own makeup. I was so nervous about making my face look like it was ready for one of the biggest days of my life. It definitely saved a lot of money to do it myself and thankfully I liked the finished look.

The important thing is to know what kind of look you are going for. I wanted a flawless finish with natural colors. I ended up using a mix of drugstore and high-end products.

With wedding season coming up, I thought I'd share the list of the products I used to get my wedding makeup look.

CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation

This has been my go-to foundation for years. What I love about this foundation is that it lasts all day and it doesn’t dry up on my face. According to the description on the bottle it has the “lasting power of primer, coverage of a concealer, and bendability of a foundation in one.” I wouldn’t say it does all that for me, but because of the increased power in the formula, it’s better than most for me.

NYX HD Photogenic Concealer

Fun fact—the first time I used a concealer was on my wedding day. I just wanted to make sure everything was absolutely perfect. I was introduced to the concealer from NYX and I thought it did a decent job. It has a soft, creamy consistency and it didn’t dry out around my eyes. It contains some amazing ingredients like coconut oil and Aloe Vera.

Mineral Fusion Pressed Powder Foundation

This natural brand is my absolute favorite. After I had put my foundation and concealer on, I set it with this pressed powder. The coverage on this is amazing and if I had to pick one product to wear on my face, it would be this. It doesn’t have harsh chemicals and contains an endless blend of natural ingredients and vitamins. This one is definitely buildable, so you can have as much or little coverage as you want.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush

I received a sample size of this blush as a gift, and it was in perfect time for my wedding. This blush is super pigmented and high quality. I love the softness of the blush and how natural it looks when I put it on. It blends in well and it contains Amazonian clay. This is probably the best blush I’ve used.

Urban Decay Naked3 Eyeshadow

This is my favorite eyeshadow palette. When I was gifted this for my birthday, I immediately fell in love with the rose-hued, sparkly tones. It has the perfect rose-gold shades, and amazing pigmentation on the sparkly ones. It definitely makes me feel like a princess. It lasts all day—I never needed to reapply.

Maybelline’s Master Precise All Day Liquid Eyeliner

Generally, I trust eye products from Maybelline. This liquid eyeliner is super easy to use. Creating a winged look is a breeze with this eyeliner. The brush tip is perfectly delicate and super-fine which definitely helps with the precision of the application.

BareMinerals Lash Domination Volumizing Mascara

There are so many mascaras out there that just don’t cut it for me. They don’t keep my lashes lifted. However, this one is an exception. It lifts my lashes and keeps them up. It makes them look fuller and it doesn’t crinkle. I mean what more can a girl ask for?

Burt’s Bees Satin Lipstick

This lipstick gives such an amazing natural color. It is long-lasting, and moisturizing. It contains “Beeswax, Moringa Oil, Raspberry Seed Oil, and Vitamin E.” Finding a longer-lasting lipstick can be hard and this one definitely fits the bill. This was a deciding factor for me because there are more important things to think about on your wedding day than constantly reapplying your lipstick.

And that’s it folks!
