When I think of Jess Rickus, I think of Studio Ninety. And when I think of Studio Ninety, I think of Jess Rickus. The two are completely intertwined. Built from the same vision and the same energy. This is a woman who didn’t just find her way into this work; she grew into it, and somewhere along the way, it became clear she was exactly where she was meant to be.

When it came to decorating my living room, I knew I wanted it to feel warm, inviting, and timeless. This is the heart of my little abode, the space where I like to unwind at the end of the day, watch TV, play music, and gather with my people. Before choosing individual pieces, I focused on how I wanted the room to feel. My interior design style leans transitional, slightly on the modern side, and I always try to create a balance between traditional details and cleaner lines.

Every year on March 17, everything suddenly turns green; from outfits to desserts to entire city streets, and it’s all in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. While today it’s known for parades, festive food, and celebrating Irish culture, the holiday actually began as a religious feast day honoring Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. And here’s a little fun fact that surprises a lot of people: Saint Patrick himself wasn’t actually Irish.
