When they sent me the cream in the mail, I couldn’t wait for it to get here. Their new product is called “Hello Results Daily Retinol Cream.”
Retinol comes from Retin-A. This is pretty much a derivate of Vitamin A. What does that do for our skin? Well, this ingredient pretty much increases collagen production in our skin which increases skin cell turnover.
This means your skin does stuff faster. It sheds dead skin faster; it gets over acne faster, and it helps your skin remain looking younger for a longer time. As we get older, our skin production slows down naturally. This is what contributes to the aging process. Retinol slows the aging process down.
Retinol is the gold standard for anti-aging. However, pure retinol, like in prescription form, can be harsh on a lot of people’s skin. It turns over cell production so fast that it can dry out people’s skin. Beauty companies, for a while now, have been working on being a part of the solution in helping retinol become gentler. They usually put a small amount of retinol, in a packaged cream or serum with other hydrating ingredients, so that it can be used daily.
These hydrating ingredients can vary. But one of the ways to tell if a retinol product has enough retinol to actually impact your skin, is if it is yellow-tinted. Actual retinol is yellow, and if the serum doesn’t look yellow at all, then maybe it doesn’t have enough retinol in the mix. IT Cosmetics’ Hello Results Daily Retinol Cream is yellow-tinted. Therefore, it has a good level of retinol in the cream. I love this because this means I know that the retinol is making an impact on my skin.
I also love that Hello Results cream has other amazing hydrating properties in it. It has niacinamide, which is Vitamin B3. Niacinamide has anti-inflammatory properties and works really well with retinol. It is soothing and helps even out your skin. Hello Results also contains panthenol, which is Vitamin B5, a super important moisturizer for the skin. My skin practically drinks up panthenol when its dry. It’s amazing. Hello Results also contains Vitamin E which is very moisturizing for the skin and has a host of benefits.
I will say that the IT Cosmetics Hello Results Daily Retinol Cream has definitely moisturized my skin, kept it clearer and helped slough away some of the dullness that was there. It’s one of the best retinol products I’ve tried. Hello Results.
