If you know me, you know I love a good meal… whether it’s a cozy brunch spot, a fine-dining Italian experience, or late-night wings with friends. Burlington has such an incredible food scene, and over the years I’ve discovered some absolute gems that I keep going back to.

If you’re looking for a place to grab a quick bite, here are my top 10 go-to spots in Burlington that never disappoint. And just to be clear — this isn’t in any particular order.

1. Di Mario's Trattoria

If I’m craving authentic Italian fine dining in Downtown Burlington, this is where I go. Di Mario’s Trattoria delivers elegance, warmth, and some of the most divine pasta I’ve ever had. The sauces are rich, the ingredients are fresh, and every dish feels thoughtfully crafted. It’s perfect for date night or a special celebration.

2. Isabelle Restaurant & Lounge

This spot brings serious city vibes to Burlington. Isabelle blends worldwide flavours into beautifully presented dishes that truly make your mouth water. The atmosphere is stylish yet inviting — ideal for girls’ night, cocktails, or an elevated dinner out. It’s one of those places that feels like an experience, not just a meal.

3. Bardo

Hands down my favourite brunch spot in Downtown Burlington is Bardo. The breads here are next level — perfectly baked, soft inside with that irresistible crust. Whether you’re ordering sweet or savoury, Bardo makes brunch feel like a treat every single time.

4. Familia Fine Foods

My go-to Latin restaurant and easily one of the most comforting meals in town. Colombian, homemade, and seriously addictive.; Familia is where it's at. The flavours are bold, authentic, and full of heart. If you love trying something different and crave food that feels made with love, this is your place.

5. 400 Brant

Right in the heart of town, 400 Brant truly does it all. It’s the jack-of-all-trades restaurant that somehow masters everything on the menu. But let’s talk about the burgers — easily some of the best in Burlington. It’s a great casual spot that works for almost any occasion.

6. Pizzaiolo

Of all the pizza spots around, Pizzaiolo is my favourite for grabbing a slice. And yes — Canadiana all the way. It’s quick, reliable, and always hits the spot when you’re craving classic comfort food.

7. Nisi Greek Taverna

It’s all Greek to me — in the best way possible. Nisi is my hands-down favourite Greek restaurant in town. The flavours are vibrant, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. Souvlaki, anyone? It’s the kind of place that makes you want to order everything on the menu.

8. Prince of India

Flavour. Flavour. Flavour. If you love bold spices and rich, aromatic dishes, Prince of India is a must. Their Lamb Biryani is done just right — perfectly cooked, deeply spiced, and incredibly satisfying. It’s comfort food with a kick.

9. Russell Williams Restaurant

When I’m in the mood for an old-school, farmhouse-style breakfast, Russell's is the spot. The Russell Williams Special is a classic for a reason — hearty, comforting, and nostalgic. Sometimes simple, traditional breakfasts are exactly what you need.

10. The Coop Wicked Chicken

My absolute favourite wings in town are at The Coop. The NY Butter sauce is unbeatable, and their fries are amazing too. It’s the perfect casual spot for game nights, weekend hangouts, or whenever you’re craving seriously good comfort food.

The Way I see It

Burlington may not be the biggest city, but its food scene is full of flavour, personality, and variety. From Italian fine dining and Latin comfort food to Greek, Indian, pizza, and classic breakfast spots; there’s truly something for every craving.

If you’re local, consider this your foodie checklist. If you’re visiting, start here.

And if you try any of these spots — let me know which one becomes your favourite. ||
